Although these two terms appears as if they are same but, there is a difference in the context of meaning what they suggest.
SUSTAINABILITY:Definition of Sustainability given by Brundtland Commission is
" Development that meets the demands of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own demands."
So, by definition Sustainability is something which has a longer overview and is accompanied by envisaging the future needs." Development that meets the demands of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own demands."
Ecological footprint and Biocapacity comes into picture when Sustainability is evaluated.

DURABILITY:Durability is something which confined to a particular product. It is the period of time for which the product remains intact i.e can be used further more.
Production of more durable products result in more sustainability as there will be maximum usage of a product thus reducing the waste and ecological footprint.
