The Accord which was put forth by 197 nations in United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to save this planet from global warming and to strive for sustainability is the PARIS CLIMATE CHANGE AGREEMENT.
The main aim of this agreement is to restrict green house gas emissions which are constituting for rise of temperatures on this planet. 124 out of 197 nations ratified this agreement which means they adopt various policies and strategies to achieve the goals defined by the agreement. Major global warming contributing nations like US, China, India and EU are among the ratified nations.

The AIM of the convention is described in Article 2, "enhancing the implementation" of the UNFCCC through:
"(a) Holding the increase in the global average temperature to well below 2 °C above pre-industrial levels and to pursue efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5 °C above pre-industrial levels, recognizing that this would significantly reduce the risks and impacts of climate change;
(b) Increasing the ability to adapt to the adverse impacts of climate change and foster climate resilience and low greenhouse gas emissions development, in a manner that does not threaten food production;
(c) Making finance flows consistent with a pathway towards low greenhouse gas emissions and climate-resilient development."

WHAT'S IN ACCORDANCE??
As American New President Donald Trump was on a streak to fulfill his election campaign promises by temporarily banning the refugees from certain countries, pushing for the Dakota access pipeline,
altering immigration policies, constructing wall against mexico border, abolishing EPA etc., Paris accord was also seemed to be on the verge of Trump's Streak.
As Rex Tellerson became the secretary of state, the apprehension about the Paris Accord has became even more viable. If the U.S. withdraws from the Paris agreement, or simply doesn't make an effort to meet its pledged (but voluntary) targets, that will have several consequences beyond those on the climate itself—including impacts on the economy and security.
